I should add, 'Holding Skulls,' but the lack of death's head clarity subverts the original source, my favourite model with a Viking cranium in his hands. By having a a pair, the idea is also doubled: mortality and its opposite, heavenly continuance. The youth feels himself immortal, wrongly. A5 acrylic and collage, with structure gel for the momento mori parts.
