There is considerable certainty that the early Earth became more like the one we inhabit due to a collision making the End-Cretaceous meteor look like a molehill when compared to an Everest. Thereafter began the laborious trail to ourselves. The boy has won a prize; he stands in for all humanity. But the certificate is not worth the paper it's written on.
